Powered by Lattice OS, an AI‑powered operating system, Anduril is committed to delivering cutting‑edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology in months, not years.About the JobThe Product Sourcing Engineer drives strategic supply network development and cost management for Anduril's Advanced Effects (Missiles) product portfolio throughout their lifecycles, collaborating with suppliers and cross‑functionally with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams.What You'll DoConduct supplier selection for a specific product using the approved supplier list.Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development through activities such as:Concept scoping to solidify requirements.Feature trade‑off and trade tables.Should‑cost and clean sheet models.Joint design development with clear statements of work.Simulation of mechanical and electronics designs.Develop and consolidate a manufacturing BOM, working with Quality & Manufacturing, to ramp production internally and with suppliers with high flexibility.Manage CAPEX throughout new product introduction.Conduct value‑stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility.Complete the BOM risk assessment, including alternate component sourcing.Ensure completion of all component qualifications ahead of production.Reduce complexity through commonality optimization and component/supplier rationalization.Lead all cost engineering activities to converge the bottoms‑up cost curve to product cost, maximizing total cost of ownership across the product lifecycle.Manage ad‑hoc cost issues such as tariffs, import/export cost, and cost inflation.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or a related technical field.3+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, or design of electronics and/or mechanical devices.Domain expertise in value or procurement engineering or TCO‑related work at the component and product level.Ability to travel 10% – 40% of the time, variable based on program needs.Ability to relocate if not already local to be onsite in Costa Mesa, CA.Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree or advanced technical degree in mechanical engineering.Deeper experience in design and development of electronics and/or mechanical devices.Advanced sourcing activities, including stints as commodity/sourcing manager.Supplier development (technology, process, supply chain, etc.) and early supplier engagement ahead of product/engineering requirement realization.Familiarity with developing high‑tech products in a high‑mix, low‑volume environment.Experience working in a fast‑paced, start‑up environment.Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance.Salary Range$129,000 – $171,000 USD (base salary only; equity and benefits are included in the total compensation package).BenefitsAnduril offers a comprehensive benefits package at little to no cost to employees, including health, recovery, and other benefits to support you in health, recovery, and whatever comes next.#J-18808-Ljbffr
