Product Safety & Quality Advisor Sr:

 

  • Creates standards, procedures, and tools to leverage to assure that suppliers & facilities meet requirements.
  • Implements PSQ training & programs.
  • Applies in-depth technical knowledge to projects and gathers insights (i.e. testing, supplier and product assessment).
  • Leads audits and qualifies facilities. Ensures successful and timely completion of audits and corrective actions.
  • Confirms accuracy of supplier documentation and assesses risk within the supply base.
  • Attends trials and commercialization runs.
  • Proactively analyzes product safety and quality metrics and customer complaints. Escalates issues to manager and supplier and drives complaint resolution. 
  • Lead investigation and resolution of PSQ concerns from regulators, stores, internal/external stakeholders.
  • Understands and remains current on product safety and quality industry trends and practices. Adapts to learn new areas of the business.
  • Develops quality improvement project plans. Identifies key hurdles. Determines criteria for success. Recommends resources and timing.
  • Collaborates and influences cross functionally and with suppliers to support Product Safety and Quality programs.

 

Telecommuting permitted up to 20% per week.

 

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week. Pay Range: $127,400 to $153,300 per year.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

Bachelor’s degree in Food Safety, Microbiology, Public Health, Food Science, or a related field, plus 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in a food safety related role. In the alternative, employer will also accept a Master’s degree in Food Safety, Microbiology, Public Health, Food Science, or a related field, plus 3 years of work experience in a food safety related role.


Must have 3 years of experience in developing and implementing product safety and quality aspects of product specifications. 


Must have 3 years of experience in managing customer complaints from multiple sources.


Must have 3 years of experience in presenting data-based recommendations concerning food safety and quality issues in products to a non-technical audience. 


All candidates must be able to demonstrate that they qualify as a Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) through experience or certification. 


Telecommuting permitted up to 20% per week.


Must be willing and able to travel domestically up to 25%.
