Title: Product Owner (Life Insurance)
Locations: 3275 Bennett Creek Avenue, Frederick, MD 21701. 100% onsite.
Duration: 6 Months
Salary Range: $49 - $53/Hour on W2 (All inclusive)
Introduction
The Product Owner is responsible for defining, prioritizing, and delivering high-value product capabilities across insurance, finance, and digital platforms. Acting as the primary bridge between business stakeholders, technology teams, and external partners, the role ensures the successful delivery of scalable, compliant, and customer-centric solutions. Operating in an Agile environment, the Product Owner owns the product backlog, drives roadmap execution, and ensures alignment with strategic objectives, regulatory requirements, and customer experience goals.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Product Ownership in Agile Environments (Scrum/SAFe, backlog management, user stories)
- Strong Insurance Domain Expertise (Life Insurance, policy lifecycle, underwriting, claims)
- Stakeholder Management & Business-Technology Alignment
- Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, Finance, or related field
- Prior work experience at client or in the client's Industry
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with Digital Platforms (APIs, CRM – Salesforce, cloud/AWS/Azure)
- Knowledge of Insurance Regulatory Frameworks
- Certifications: CSPO / PSPO / SAFe Product Owner / PMP
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business priorities
- Define user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements
- Prioritize features based on business value, regulatory requirements, and customer impact
- Drive end-to-end delivery across AgileScrum or SAFe frameworks
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Grooming, Reviews, Retrospectives)
