Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Product Owner position! This is a 12+ month contract opportunity and will be on-site in Buffalo, NY. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.
What Youll Be Doing:
- Build and own the product vision and roadmap aligned with strategic objectives.
- Prioritize and manage the product backlog(s) based on overall product strategy.
- Represent the voice of the customer and ensure story clarity for the delivery team.
- Make autonomous, well-informed decisions to move product delivery forward.
- Write user stories and define acceptance criteria to support Acceptance Test-Driven Development (ATDD).
- Partner with agile teams to create effective communication tools and progress tracking mechanisms.
- Participate in agile ceremonies and team activities.
- Collaborate across business units and with other Product Owners to align customer journeys and dependent backlogs.
- Use design thinking methods and analytics to focus on outcomes over outputs.
- Influence business partners across the organization to advocate for customer-centered solutions.
- Ensure adherence to risk management, regulatory standards, and internal control requirements.
What Youll Need to Have:
- 6+ years of Product Owner, product management, or related experience
- Strong Agile/Scrum experience, including backlog grooming and PI planning
- Banking industry experience required
- Experience with Account Opening (AO), deposits, or embedded banking (strongly preferred)
- Experience writing detailed user stories and acceptance criteria
- Proven ability to work closely with technical teams to deliver committed work
- Strong communication skills with experience reporting to senior business stakeholders
- Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence
- Ability to operate independently and quickly ramp in a fast-moving environment
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with ServiceNow architecture
- Experience using Miro or Figma for roadmap development
- Experience working on front-end integrations or platform modernization initiatives
Pay Range: $60-$65/hr
