Product Marketing Specialist – APIs

Pay: $25–36/hour
Duration: 5-month contract (initially)
Location: Hybrid – Kennesaw, GA

Hours: 35–40 hours per week


Overview

We are seeking a Product Marketing Specialist – APIs to help translate API strategy into clear, compelling value for partners and customers. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing teams to drive awareness, adoption, and integration of APIs across the CCH platform.

You will help build and enable a scalable ecosystem of integrations, partners, and third-party applications that extend the value of Tax & Accounting solutions. This position is ideal for someone who is execution-oriented, detail-focused, and passionate about simplifying technical concepts into impactful messaging that drives product adoption, partner growth, and revenue expansion.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop clear, differentiated positioning and messaging for APIs, communicating the value of the platform, integrations, and ecosystem to both technical and business audiences.
  • Shape and evolve the ecosystem narrative, positioning APIs as a key driver of customer value, innovation, and partner-led growth.
  • Create and maintain API-focused content optimized for discovery, usability, and conversion.
  • Support go-to-market (GTM) execution for API launches, enhancements, and new integrations using scalable launch frameworks.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to understand API capabilities—including data access, workflow integration, and automation—and translate them into compelling customer use cases.
  • Conduct market, customer, and competitive research focused on tax & accounting platforms, APIs, and connected ecosystems to inform positioning and GTM strategy.
  • Develop and execute programs that drive API adoption, integration growth, and ecosystem expansion.
  • Enable Sales and Customer Success teams with API messaging, use cases, and integration-led selling strategies that support upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Create high-impact marketing and sales assets, including:
    • Integration playbooks
    • Ecosystem value propositions
    • Partner case studies
    • Technical sales enablement materials

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of experience in Product Marketing, Developer Marketing, or Technical Marketing within a B2B SaaS or platform environment.
  • Experience working with APIs, integrations, or platform ecosystems, ideally within enterprise or vertical SaaS (Tax, Accounting, Finance, or similar industries).
  • Strong ability to translate technical concepts such as:
    • APIs
    • Endpoints
    • Authentication
    • Integrations
    • Workflows
      into clear business value and customer messaging.
  • Experience supporting go-to-market initiatives for platform capabilities, APIs, or integrations.
  • Familiarity with developer ecosystems, API documentation tools, and integration frameworks.
  • Experience with CRM systems, marketing automation platforms, and analytics tools is a plus.
  • Proven ability to create both developer-facing and business-facing content while balancing technical depth with commercial value.
  • Experience conducting competitive analysis related to platform ecosystems and integration strategies.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Partnerships, and Customer Success teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging for both technical and executive audiences.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple API launches, integrations, and cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
