Title: Product Integrity & Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Location: New York , NY
Pay Rate: $25–28/hour
Duration: 6 Months

Job Description

  • Manage product integrity, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance activities across apparel and consumer product categories.
  • Oversee product testing programs related to physical performance, product safety, restricted substances, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor vendor testing and inspection performance, identify recurring compliance issues, and support corrective actions.
  • Review and analyze laboratory testing results to ensure compliance with product specifications, care labeling requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Onboard and train vendors on product integrity, quality, testing, and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate with sourcing, production, merchandising, legal, and quality teams regarding regulatory and product compliance matters.
  • Maintain compliance records, testing documentation, vendor performance reports, and quality assurance data.
  • Partner with third-party laboratories to ensure adherence to testing protocols, restricted substance requirements, and reporting standards.
  • Support compliance with domestic and international product safety regulations and industry standards.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Textile Science, Apparel Manufacturing, Product Development, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Materials Science, or a related field preferred.

Required Skills

  • 3–5 years of Product Integrity, Product Compliance, Quality Assurance, or Regulatory Compliance experience.
  • Consumer product testing and compliance program management.
  • Knowledge of apparel manufacturing processes, textile materials, trims, fiber content, and care labeling requirements.
  • Experience working with product testing laboratories and interpreting laboratory test reports.
  • Knowledge of CPSC, CPSIA, CPSA, FTC labeling requirements, California Proposition 65, and REACH regulations.
  • Experience with Restricted Substances Lists (RSL), product safety testing, and quality performance standards.
  • Vendor compliance management and product inspection oversight.
  • Data analysis and reporting using Microsoft Excel.
  • Product safety, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance documentation management.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with apparel, fashion, accessories, or consumer products industries.
  • Knowledge of sustainability, social compliance, and responsible sourcing programs.
  • Experience evaluating physical performance testing, fabric testing, and product quality standards.
  • Familiarity with global product compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience supporting vendor onboarding and compliance training initiatives.
