Job Title: Product Manager
Location: NYC, NY
Duration: 6+ Months 
Salary Range:  $50-60/hr on W2 without benefits

Overview
They are looking for two experienced Product Managers for the HR Compensation team. These individuals will help drive strategy, vision, and execution of key initiatives related to compensation planning, focal cycles, and platform optimization. Each Product Manager will be aligned to their own engineering team and will play a pivotal role in backlog management, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business and technology teams to define and drive the product strategy and vision within the Compensation domain.
  • Own and manage the product backlog using JIRA, including story creation, grooming, prioritization, and delivery tracking.
  • Work closely with engineering teams through agile ceremonies (e.g., stand-ups, PI planning, sprint grooming) to ensure successful execution of initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in HR, Tech, and Compensation to define requirements, build roadmaps, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Support both BAU operations and new feature development, ensuring platform stability while identifying opportunities for enhancement and innovation.
  • Leverage data and user feedback to inform product decisions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Partner with leadership to shape and influence HR compensation strategy.
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of product management experience, preferably in HR or related business domains.
  • Experience with Workday Compensation modules (strong plus, but not required).
  • Prior work in HR compensation strategy or related functional areas.
  • Proven experience managing agile product teams, working with JIRA for backlog management and delivery tracking.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to influence and shape product vision.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with program increment (PI) planning and scaled agile frameworks.
  • Basic familiarity with creating reports and queries in JIRA.
  • Experience driving both operational execution and strategic product initiatives.
