SUMMARYThe Product Manager, Roof Components, is responsible for managing WRBP Roof System Components (RSC) product offerings including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements and working closely with sales, marketing, supply chain, finance, engineering & operations to achieve revenue and profitability goals. The Product Manager's job also includes ensuring the RSC product offerings support the company's overall strategy and goals and acts as both a Product Manager and Project Manager.Ideal candidate will sit in southern California.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMay include, but are not limited to, the following:Develop product pricing and positioning strategies by utilizing market research data, reviewing production and sales costs and forecastingManage P&L of each RSC product by implementing price changes and cost improvements as appropriateManage & execute launch of new RSC productsWork with Marketing to create & maintain marketing collateral for all RSC products including price lists, brochures, labels, samples, guides, product approvals, etc.Responsible for the RSC product life cycle and roadmap from product definition and strategy to product launch to phasing out old or obsolete productsCommunicate price and product updates to Management, Sales team, other internal teams, vendors and customersGather "voice-of-customer" feedback on company products and servicesGain deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps, generate new ideas to grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growthAnalyze RSC sales performance and work with Sales Managers and Territory Managers to implement regional product sales strategiesManage RSC sample offerings and sample requests as neededObtain approvals for and execute price changes & legal documents utilizing DocusignAct as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding of RSC productsIdentify competing products for each product line in each regional marketDetermine marketing & product requirements to optimize revenue & profitability of RSCWork with supply chain, operations & external suppliers to maintain supply of RSCWork with Supply Chain to ensure all price increases from Vendors are processed and determine Westlake RSC pricing to maintain or increase marginsDevelop product introduction presentations and present to Sales and Customer ServiceTrain new employees on RSC- Maintain all presentation materials up to date.Submit monthly reports to management on RSC sales and specific product or pricing changesMaintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies30% Travel requiredEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS5+ years' experience in Product ManagementExperience in a job in the building products or construction markets a plusExcellent written and verbal communication skillsNimble with technologyStrong problem-solving skillsExcellent teamwork skillsAbility to influence cross-functional teamsHigh level of knowledge with MS office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Excel)Experience with SAP preferablePHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
