The Role

DMC Biotechnologies is seeking a highly motivated Product Manager to lead the commercial launch and successful growth of two innovative food ingredient products: myo-inositol and d-chiro-inositol.

You will own product strategy, pricing, positioning, and go-to-market execution while working cross-functionally with R&D, regulatory, manufacturing, sales, and marketing teams. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and enjoys building products from concept to commercialization.

The anticipated base salary for this role is $110,000–$155,000 per year. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and geographic location, and may include bonus eligibility and a full benefits package. 

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Business Planning

Management

  • Build, challenge, and maintain product strategies and business cases for our myo-inositol and d-chiro-inositol products.
  • Develop and refine product value propositions, positioning, and target market strategies.
  • Manage product demand forecasting and communicate proactively to the manufacturing team to enable production plan alignment.
  • Participate in DMC strategic planning and commercialization initiatives, including pipeline prioritization, platform expansion strategies, and evaluation of adjacent market opportunities.

Product Advancements

  • Identify, screen and implement new product advancements including new quality grades and formats. (working with R&D and operations)
  • Identify, screen and implement product certifications, clinical studies, analytical testing and other activities to differentiate add additional value-propositions to each product.
  • Participate in new product development projects to align product development team activities with commercial and market requirements.
  • Support product clinical study activities, assist with claims substantiation, and manage updates to the claims dossier with consultant support.

Market Research, Financial Modeling, and Product Planning

  • Undertake continual market research to understand competitive products and pricing.
  • Build and maintain product-level financial models and forecasts
  • Support revenue planning, pricing strategy, and margin optimization
  • Maintain a strong understanding of current and future product costs for modeling and competitive analysis.
  • Contribute to company-wide strategic planning and commercialization roadmap

Regulatory & Market Readiness

  • Prioritize and coordinate U.S. and international regulatory activities with our regulatory consultants, providing necessary market and technical data to submit and progress submissions.
  • Work with regulatory and sales/marketing teams to develop recommended product claims.
  • Track evolving regulatory requirements across target markets

Product Expertise

  • Be the product expert to support increasingly technical sales for various key applications and drive product strategy.
  • Support the sales efforts with developing and refining customer strategy.

Sales and Commercial Support

  • Support customer engagement, industry events, and partner onboarding
  • Contribute to CRM management and sales tracking
  • As time permits, this role will directly manage some customers to help drive revenue and gather insights.

Customer Service & Customer Logistics

  • Receive and process purchase orders and coordinate logistics for product sales to customers through about Q3 2026. With sufficient product growth DMC will hire a dedicated customer service representative to take over the customer service activities.

Marketing Support

  • Drive the content of all marketing materials, sales collateral, and technical documentation, working with marketing manager.
  • Gather and incorporate customer and market feedback to advance product messaging and communications.

Quality & New Customer Requirements

  • Track customer quality requirements and ensure alignment with the manufacturing and operations team.
  • Collaborate with technical and operations teams to address new customer requests such as specification or format changes.

Qualifications

Required

  • 8+ years of experience in product management, product launch, business development, or commercial roles.
  • Background/experience in nutraceuticals, supplements, food ingredients or adjacent industries such as specialty chemicals or cosmetic actives (not IT industries).
  • Experience in business planning and financial modeling.
  • Experience effectively working cross functionally to advance new product and commercial initiatives.
  • Solid sales acumen with strong marketing insights to effectively steer product strategy.
  • Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills
  • Strong communication skills.
  • B.S. in business, engineering, or science.
  • Travel is required up to 20%.

Preferred

  • Candidates with a solid technical education (e.g. chemistry or engineering) and business education (e.g. MBA, business degree).
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks relevant to dietary supplements or food ingredients is preferred (U.S. and/or international)
  • Familiarity with food ingredient claim substantiation, clinical trial design.
  • Demonstrated experience launching new products.
  • Experience in an early-stage or scaling company environment
  • Solid network in the food, supplements, and nutraceutical ingredient markets.
  • Remote candidates are welcome. Candidates that can work at least 2 days a week in either our Morrisville, NC or Boulder, CO office have some preference. Chicago, IL also has a preference.
