Product Manager - Business Partner Connectivity (External Networks) Position
Summary We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the Business Partner Connectivity product within the External Networks organization. This role has end-to-end ownership of the product lifecycle and serves as the Channel Owner for all Business Partner connectivity across the enterprise, ensuring compliance with Data Transmission Services standards.
The Product Manager will define the product vision, roadmap, and strategic direction while partnering with engineering, architecture, finance, governance, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and compliant connectivity solutions. This position requires a strong combination of product management expertise, networking knowledge, stakeholder management, and program leadership.
Key Responsibilities Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business objectives, customer needs, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle, including planning, delivery, optimization, and retirement.
- Develop and prioritize product features, epics, and enhancements within the product backlog.
- Drive product selection activities, including RFx evaluations and vendor assessments where applicable.
- Ensure alignment between product roadmaps and broader portfolio objectives.
Product Ownership & Governance
- Serve as the Product Owner for the Business Partner Connectivity product within External Networks.
- Act as the Channel Owner responsible for Business Partner connectivity and Data Transmission Services compliance.
- Represent the product across Technology, GIS, Finance, Audit/Risk, and Lines of Business.
- Prepare and present product updates, roadmaps, and governance materials to executive leadership and stakeholders.
- Establish agendas and required artifacts for governance and steering committee meetings.
Delivery & Agile Leadership
- Facilitate product planning activities and backlog prioritization.
- Lead program and portfolio planning ceremonies across Agile and Waterfall delivery models.
- Partner closely with architecture and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Manage dependencies, risks, impediments, and delivery priorities throughout the product lifecycle.
- Communicate product priorities and roadmap updates to engineering and business teams.
Product Performance & Financial Management
Monitor product health through operational metrics including:
Product inventory
Performance metrics
Risk indicators
Usage analytics
CAPM
Error rates
Make recommendations regarding product lifecycle improvements and optimization.
Manage product budgets and collaborate with Technology Executives, Finance, and Economics teams on financial planning throughout delivery.
Risk, Compliance & Operational Excellence
- Maintain accountability for product risk, security, compliance, and vulnerability management.
- Identify business and technology risks, quantify impacts, and recommend appropriate controls.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture, information security, and governance standards.
- Gather stakeholder feedback to continuously improve product effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive Product Management experience leading enterprise technology products.
- Subject matter expertise in product management within networking, infrastructure, or enterprise technology environments.
- Strong understanding of networking technologies and connectivity solutions.
- Experience managing complex enterprise products through the full product lifecycle.
- Proven ability to develop product roadmaps and prioritize product backlogs.
- Experience facilitating Agile program planning and managing cross-functional delivery teams.
- Strong understanding of risk management, dependency management, and governance processes.
- Experience working with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting enterprise connectivity, external networking, or business partner integration products.
- Basic knowledge of automation, CI/CD, and modern software delivery practices.
- Basic understanding of enterprise architecture and solution design principles.
- Familiarity with information security standards and enterprise technology governance.
- Experience within highly regulated financial services environments.
