The Data Foundations group, as part of the Data & Analytics division in the Office of the CTO, oversees the software infrastructure powering and connecting all of Bloomberg's structured data - from ingestion and modeling, unified managed infrastructure, data access and delivery to end-user surfaces. About the Role Bloomberg is seeking a highly motivated and technically astute Technical Product Management Lead to lead the development and evolution of our core data infrastructure powering access to the world's financial information. We look across Bloomberg's products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the central data foundations team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the full development cycle, from inception, through planning, execution and delivery to our internal and external stakeholders. We are seeking a passionate and experienced product manager leader to join our growing team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of data platforms, enabling data engineers, data analysts, and AI/ML researchers across the company to build products that delight users and differentiate Bloomberg. This is a unique opportunity to not only influence the data landscape within our organization but also to help build and lead a high-performing team of product managers from the ground up. You will collaborate with engineering, user research, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into robust, scalable data solutions. You will be accountable for managing a group of technical product managers driving product strategy, technical planning, prioritization, and delivery oversight. We'll trust you to Define and deliver a compelling product vision and roadmap for data platforms that empower AI/ML innovation. Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of technical product managers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and ownership. Translate product ideas into clear specifications, user stories, and requirements. Collaborate deeply with peers across the Data & Analytics organization, as well as design and engineering partners, to ensure seamless execution through the product lifecycle. Establish and track KPIs to evaluate product performance, using data-driven insights to guide prioritization, feature iteration, and strategic direction. Stay at the forefront of innovations in data infrastructure and AI to ensure Bloomberg's platforms remain best-in-class and future-ready. Identify, scope, and lead integration initiatives in partnership with internal business and system owners to drive end-user outcomes. You'll need to have Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience 10+ years of experience in product management or related technical roles. 5+ years of experience in people management, with technical leadership. 5+ years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc.). Experience working with data architecture, data lakes, and data pipelines. Experience launching and scaling data products or platforms. A data driven approach to product strategy A proven track record of customer centricity and obsession leading to successful software products Experience creating a product vision and roadmap, investigating trade-offs of various technical approaches, prioritizing difficult macro and micro level tradeoffs, and release management. Strong collaboration and communication skills and ability to work across cross functional teams and to break down large, complex business problems into discrete, achievable steps. We'd love to see Master's degree in a technology or business related field. Experience as a product manager in the data or AI/ML domain. Experience in software development or engineering. Experience leading strategy and translating business needs into technical requirements. Deep understanding of modern software architecture, data systems, semantic knowledge graphs and AI/ML concepts Salary Range = 235000 - 350000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
