Description

Our client, an automotive engineering organization is seeking a Product Engineer to join their team. As a Product Engineer, you will be part of the Powertrain Engineering Department supporting Engine System Cooling Programs. The ideal candidate will have problem‑solving, cross‑functional communication, and technical leadership which will align successfully in the organization.

Location:

Auburn Hills, MI

Pay Range:

$50.92/hr.

What’s the Job?

  • Design and develop cooling components for electrified vehicles, including radiators, condensers, fans, pumps, valves, heaters, and hose/tube assemblies.

  • Lead early packaging and development activities to meet cooling functional objectives.

  • Coordinate CAE, design, prototyping, and testing and ensure proper documentation.

  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure manufacturability and track part maturity through development milestones.

  • Support vehicle assembly and testing, resolving issues and addressing quality or cost improvements post‑launch.

What’s Needed?

  • Experience with cooling systems or thermal components for electrified vehicles.

  • Knowledge of DFMEA, DVP&R, and CAE methodologies.

  • Ability to manage components through all stages of vehicle development.

  • Strong supplier coordination skills.

  • Hands‑on problem resolution during assembly, testing, and post‑launch phases.
