Your Role
Akkodis is seeking a Product Engineer Body for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI. The ideal candidate will develop and validate NFC and Key Fob hardware, software, and systems while supporting design reviews, regulatory compliance, and launch execution.
Rate Range: $40/Hour to $45/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Product Engineer Body Job Responsibilities include:
Develop and validate NFC and Key Fob hardware, software, and system designs in alignment with program requirements and milestones.
Lead and participate in design reviews with internal teams and external suppliers, ensuring technical and regulatory compliance.
Create and execute Design Verification Plans (DVP) across bench, HIL, and vehicle testing environments.
Ensure compliance with FMVSS, ECE, RF certification, and homologation requirements through proper documentation and testing.
Track issues, requirements, and part releases using FEDE, JIRA, and WERS throughout the product lifecycle.
Support program launches by driving issue resolution, supplier coordination, and presenting status updates to management.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
Minimum of 2+ years of experience in automotive electrical system design, development, and testing.
Hands-on experience with automotive hardware/software systems, including design verification, testing, and use of vehicle network tools such as CANalyzer.
Experience supporting product development through launch, including APQP/PPAP activities, supplier collaboration, and issue tracking using tools like FEDE, JIRA, and WERS.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour
