Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Product Development Program Manager for a Contract with a client in Allen Park, MI. The ideal candidate with experience leading vehicle development, launch readiness, change control, and cross-functional program execution to support successful product launches and operational objectives.

Rate Range: $42/hour to $45/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Product Development Program Manager Job Responsibilities include:

  • Lead vehicle development programs from planning through launch, ensuring alignment with business objectives, quality targets, and production readiness requirements.

  • Manage engineering change control activities, including ECNs, ECRs, BOM updates, and change implementation across cross-functional teams.

  • Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, logistics, purchasing, suppliers, and program stakeholders to drive issue resolution and milestone achievement.

  • Monitor program schedules, deliverables, risks, inventory, and obsolescence management activities to support smooth product transitions and launches.

  • Facilitate technical and operational meetings, track action items, and provide regular status updates to leadership and project teams.

  • Support supplier coordination, cost management, and launch execution activities while ensuring compliance with client processes, systems, and program requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field.

  • 3-5 years of experience in Automotive Program Management, Product Development, Engineering Release, or Vehicle Launch Management.

  • Proven experience managing Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), BOM reconciliation, change control processes, and production launch activities.

  • Strong knowledge of supplier coordination, inventory and obsolescence management, cross-functional stakeholder leadership, and vehicle program execution from development through launch.

Pay Details: $42.00 to $45.00 per hour
