Job Title: Product Designer – Mobile Experience
Duration: 6‑Month Contract (Leave Coverage)
Location: Fully Remote
About the Role
This Product Designer role is focused on native mobile app experiences supporting participant‑facing products. The position is a 6‑month contract created to backfill a team member going on leave, with a brief overlap to ensure a smooth transition.
You’ll play a key role in shaping and executing mobile experiences, moving beyond responsive web to design mobile‑native solutions that feel intentional, consistent, and intuitive. While some foundational work is in place, there is meaningful net‑new design and execution ahead, particularly around landing page experiences and mobile pattern consistency.
This role partners closely with a UX strategy lead, product managers, and engineering to bring mobile experiences to life while contributing to the evolution of an early‑stage mobile design system.
What You’ll Do
Mobile‑First Product Design
- Design native mobile app experiences for participant‑facing products.
- Translate existing web‑based dashboards and experiences into mobile‑native UI patterns.
- Own the end‑to‑end design of mobile landing page experiences.
- Balance strong execution with light strategic thinking to support broader mobile goals.
Design Systems & Consistency
- Contribute to the development and refinement of a mobile design system.
- Ensure consistency across mobile patterns, components, and interaction models.
- Help shepherd design quality across mobile experiences to maintain cohesion.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with a UX strategy lead to align execution with the broader mobile vision.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and other designers in an Agile environment.
- Communicate design rationale clearly and incorporate feedback efficiently.
What You Bring
Must‑Have Qualifications
- Strong native mobile app design experience (critical requirement).
- Proven ability to execute high‑quality design while contributing to light strategy.
- Experience working effectively in cross‑functional product teams.
Nice‑to‑Have Qualifications
- Background in financial services, fintech, or related industries
(retirement or investments strongly preferred; banking acceptable). - Experience designing mobile products at large‑scale organizations
(e.g., Chase, Fidelity, or similar environments).
Additional Details
- Contract Length: ~6 months, with 1–2 months of overlap prior to leave transition
- Coverage Period: July through January. Job starts Mid May
- Level: 3
