Product Engineer
Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Product Engineer to support the design, development, and release of critical vehicle components, including fasteners, fittings, and fluid transport systems. This role offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally with manufacturing, suppliers, and government partners while contributing to innovative engineering solutions in a dynamic environment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with production and process teams to define requirements for fasteners, fittings, and hose/tube systems across various applications
- Identify, select, and develop components based on performance criteria such as strength, durability, environmental tolerance, and cost efficiency
- Approve engineering designs through prototype, testing, and production release phases
- Develop and audit torque strategies across North American manufacturing facilities to ensure compliance with design and contract requirements
- Support and oversee product testing, including setup, monitoring, and validation of results
- Interface with government partners and customers, including occasional travel to U.S. military bases
- Analyze and resolve field issues, conducting root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions as needed
- Provide ongoing engineering support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Knowledge and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
- 5–7 years of experience in vehicle or component design and product release
- Strong experience with automotive fluid transport systems (tubes, hoses, and fittings)
- Working knowledge of fasteners, joint design, coatings, corrosion protection, fluid mechanics, adhesives, and product testing
- Exposure to military ground vehicle systems is a plus
- Familiarity with engineering methodologies including DFMEA, DVP&R, control plans, PPAP, and VAVE
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with MS Project, SharePoint, and TeamCenter is preferred
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Self-driven with a proactive mindset and strong follow-through
Physical Effort
- Ability to read and analyze detailed technical documents and computer screens with accuracy
- Effective verbal communication skills in both office and manufacturing environments

Travel Requirements
- Up to 25% travel, including occasional visits to customer and government sites
