Responsible for creating test prototypes and administering test to ensure quality and functionality of design. Support the transition of the product from concept to production to ensure the customer requirements are being meet. In addition, collaborates with Purchasing Department to determine the resources need and cost of product.ResponsibilitiesManages several projects at one time.Handles all changes and problems related to product assigned.Creates product design for all industrial magnetic equipment including but not limited to magnetic conveyors, sweepers, and separation productsResponsible for maintaining comprehensive documentation for items including, but not limited to, generation detailed engineering drawings, Bill of Materials, test reports, and product validation plansDesigns and tests prototypes for product development.Supports the transition of the product from concept to productionInterprets customer requirements, both verbal and written, in order to meet their needsCoordinates with the sales team to develop pricing and product designQualificationsBasic QualificationsIs client focused when designs productsPossesses technical knowledegePays attention to detail and is thorough with workMust be a resourceful individual who thinks outside the box to solve problemsProficient in both written and oral communicationPossesses strong organizational and project management skillsAbility to think outside the box to create designsPlanning and executingAbility to make quick, informed decisionsIs a fast learner and can adapt to changeProficient in conflict management with strong listening skillsPossesses strong leadership skillsAbility to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 poundsPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent number of years of experience.4 to 7 years of design engineering experience.Additional InformationOther DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
