Job Title: Apparel Product Designer Streetwear
Location: Beaverton, OR
Duration: 3 Months
Type: Full-Time, Contract

Note: Portfolio required must include sketches, flat drawings, and tech packs. Previous industry experience preferred.

Description:
A global athletic brand is seeking an experienced and passionate Apparel Designer for Streetwear, with a refined and elevated design perspective rooted in streetwear culture and experience. In this role, you will create designs for a variety of apparel classifications ranging from seasonal capsule collections to high-volume franchise apparel. You will craft the future, distinct look of Streetwear Apparel while working under the direction of the Product Creative Director. You will present design concepts to various internal audiences, partner with cross-functional members within Design, Technical Development, and Product Management to ensure feasibility of designs against product creation timelines, and provide design support for the broader Apparel Design team as needed. This role will focus on taking changes from the team and integrating them into the product, assisting teams in implementing their ideas, creating tech packs, and updating product files for the team to use.

Requirements for the role:

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in a design environment working with materials, trims, design, and fit

  • Ability to create tech packs for apparel, updating tech packs and making changes to products

  • Portfolio demonstrating sketches, flat drawings, and tech packs

  • Ability to perform foundational design skills, encompassing 2D CADs + croquis sketching, developing head-to-toe concepts, conducting prototype fittings, and creating detailed tech packs

  • In-depth knowledge of how materials, silhouettes, proportions, trims, and color theory work together to create a cohesive head-to-toe look

  • Strong visual and verbal presentation skills and storytelling to articulate design concepts and narratives

  • Understands how to balance meeting business objectives while continuously pushing the boundaries of design

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and timelines at once

  • Experience using Illustrator & Photoshop, Miro, Keynote

  • Bachelor's Degree in Apparel/Fashion Design or related design field

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Apparel/Fashion Design or related design field

  • Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in a design environment

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

  • 3D experience CLO, Vizcom, or similar tools

  • Streetwear and lifestyle apparel for mens or womens

  • Previous industry experience (preferred)
