Description

Job Title: Pattern Engineer 3
Location: Beaverton, OR (Applicants must be LOCAL)
Salary Range: $45-50
Introduction

This on-site role involves working on basketball uniform creation for both men's and women's teams. The contract is designed to cover FTE leave and will run approximately 6 months from the start date. The successful candidate will work with a team of 3 other tech designers and approximately 40 others in a cross-functional capacity.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years technical design experience in the apparel industry, which includes the apparel development process from inception through production including pattern making, grading, construction, materials, costing, manufacturing and quality.
  • Understanding of patterns and garment construction.
  • Previous experience with fit sessions and tech pack creation.
  • Experience using Adobe Illustrator, CAD Pattern Design software (Optitex), and 3D software (Clo).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Applicants must be LOCAL and able to work directly for Artech on W2. No Relocation allowed.
  • Experience with PCX, Miro, or Optitex.
  • Prior work experience at client or in client's industry.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the fit and construction from initial concept through to commercialization and production for assigned styles.
  • Create and revise Tech Packs for assigned styles and ensure all appropriate development documentation is maintained, including product specs and prototype notes.
  • Track and facilitate prototyping for styles.
  • Work with factory vendors to ensure and improve manufacturability.
  • Interpret design intent and offer alternative solutions.
