Job Title: Apparel Graphic Designer 3
Location: Beaverton, OR
Salary Range: $40-50
Introduction
We are seeking an experienced Apparel Graphic Designer to join our team. This role involves working on high-profile basketball apparel projects, where sport, design, and culture intersect. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create impactful graphics for branded and licensed basketball products.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5 years of experience in a design and/or production environment
- Proficient knowledge of Illustrator and Adobe Suite
- Advanced knowledge of graphic applications such as ink types and trim substrates
- Understanding of product lifecycle and key deliverables
- Expert-level listening, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to support and lead peers in new tools and ways of working
- Ability to navigate ambiguity while continuing to collaborate with the team
- Laser focus on critical details that often get missed
- Ability to multi-task amidst competing priorities
- Curiosity for learning and building a strong design community
- Basic understanding of 3D apparel programs (CLO or Lotta)
- Understanding of Smartsheet, Airtable, and Miro is a plus
- Prior work experience at client or in client's industry
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
- Experience working directly with athletes or a strong interest in basketball
- Experience with promo and basketball athlete wear
- A love for sports is a bonus but a love for design is essential
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Work on highly visible products for both athletes and fans
- Create and finalize graphic details across multiple levels of product
- Leverage 2D and 3D tools for product design and development
- Participate in production art meetings and alignment
- Create high-volume schematics and client-down product pages
- Track and maintain updates on all appropriate files for accuracy through final approval
- Learn new tools and advocate for efficiencies in the product creation life cycle
