Job Description & Responsibilities

Persistent Systems seeks a highly skilled Product Configuration Manager with strong expertise in ERP system configuration and risk analysis to join our growing team. In this collaborative role you will partner with internal stakeholders to develop, implement, test, and evaluate product configuration requirements within our ERP/CRM system that will enable operational efficiency and prevent noncompliant acceptance or fulfillment of orders. You will also play a key role in analyzing risk against product health throughout its lifecycle as well as defining, tracking and controlling system changes.

Position Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Sales/PMO, Accounting, Engineering, and/or Production/Supply Chain to manage the Item Master Database in the ERP system, ensuring feasibility of configuration as well as accuracy in product/price specifications for compliant quoting/delivery
  • Manage and maintain accurate configuration throughout product's lifecycle
  • Design and maintain product and price configuration rules and logic in the ERP System to prevent invalid or incomplete orders that could impact on our on-time delivery and/or customer satisfaction
  • Provide/support training to CRM users on Item Master related process updates (ex: GSA Contract Usage rules, Prototype Quoting, Part Specific rules, etc.)
  • Conduct risk analysis against Product Launch, Product Transition, or Obsoletion readiness and report findings (ex: risks to Launch/Sales readiness, process bottlenecks, incompatible requirements with ERP system, material availability risks, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot and collaborate with ERP Developer for configuration related issues and provide solutions for the team
  • Perform material availability and risk analysis for hardware by evaluating component lead times, current stock levels, supplier receipts, and demand signals; proactively identifying material gaps and/or forecasting gaps that could impact production schedules or customer delivery commitments
  • Coordinate with Operations to translate supply/production constraints into clear, actionable lead time messaging to customer facing teams
  • Support order prioritization when output constraints have impact on on-time delivery

Job Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in software engineering, operations management, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in configuration management
  • 5+ years of management level experience
  • Microsoft Excel proficient (advanced data validation, i.e. power query)
  • Proficiency with configuration management databases (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365) and tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
  • Experience with change control processes and analyzing system changes
  • Experience in establishing and executing processes for efficiency and compliance
  • Must have a United States Security Clearance or the ability to obtain a United States Security Clearance
The base pay for this role can vary from $150,000 to $165,000 a year based on individual qualifications. Eligibility for yearly discretionary bonus.
