Product Area Buyer

In this role you will be responsible for
  • Specifically responsible for Divisional Segment Purchasing of Resins, in support of multiple Product Lines.

  • Works within a purchasing team to create a purchasing strategy for a segment of goods. Supports Product Area Manager & Global Segment Manager.

  • Evaluates vendor quotes, services, and savings, to determine the most desirable suppliers. Works all aspects of vendor relationship management and lifecycle.

  • Supports divisional workshops & Zero-Defect Strategy with Supplier Quality.

  • Requires a bachelor's degree with preference given for knowledge, skills and abilities that apply most directly to the position.

What is required:
  • Requires experience working with Resins/Chemicals, gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function as it relates specifically to Raw Materials purchasing, new technology and manufacturing methods.

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Buyer

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Purchasing -> Standard Components, Raw Material Trends, Engineering, Quality, Negotiation, Chemicals, Resins
