As a Producibility Engineer II at Honeywell, you will support MMIC products across post‑production and development phases, including wafer probe, packaging, and final RF test. This role focuses on monitoring test yields and product performance through detailed electrical analysis (S‑parameters, power, gain, efficiency), driving yield improvements, and leading root cause investigations for performance variability and defects. The engineer develops and optimizes test methodologies, correlates wafer‑level and packaged results, and ensures robust test documentation and production readiness. In product development, the role includes test fixture and PCB design, lab‑based RF characterization, and data analysis to define product specifications and improve device models and design kits. The position works closely with design, process, and test teams to resolve issues, validate models through measurement and back‑fitting, and support high‑frequency package design. Additional responsibilities include failure analysis support (SEM, FIB, electrical methods), prototype assembly, inspection, and preparation of technical reports to enable successful product release and delivery. You will report directly to our Engineering Program Manager, and you'll work out of our Richardson, TX location on an On‑site work schedule. In this role, you will impact the successful execution of producibility engineering projects that align with business objectives, contributing to revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and market competitiveness. Your technical skills and collaboration will help Honeywell develop and launch innovative aerospace products that meet evolving customer needs.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with design teams to ensure MMIC designs meet manufacturability (DFM) and testability (DFT) requirements, supporting modeling, simulation, and design improvementsDevelop and execute wafer‑level and packaged test plans, including RF/microwave characterization (S‑parameters, power, noise figure) and acceptance testingDesign, validate, and optimize test fixtures, probe cards, IC packages, and evaluation PCBs for pre‑production and characterizationPerform lab‑based device testing and data analysis to define specifications, identify performance gaps, and assess yield risksSupport process development, qualification, and fabrication optimization for MMIC technologies (GaAs, GaN, InP) prior to volume productionConduct model validation through measurement‑to‑simulation correlation and refine device model kitsGenerate test procedures, qualification plans, datasheets, and technical reports; support customer applications and engineering documentationAssist in prototype builds, reliability testing, failure analysis, and production activities including assembly, inspection, troubleshooting, and product deliveryQualificationsYOU MUST HAVEBachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics2+ years of RF circuit design experience, including RF/analog circuits, FET transistor theory, and microwave fundamentalsCoursework relating to RF design or Electromagnetics (RF theory)Knowledge in active device theory fundamentals (FETs and diodes)Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearanceWE VALUEBachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related Engineering curriculumExperience in RF design, simulation, and modeling using tools such as AWR or ADSHands‑on RF measurement expertise, including small‑signal s‑parameters and use of vector network analyzers (VNA)Proficiency with CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Ansys SolidWorks, or similarExperience with DoD environments, including familiarity with military qualification and testing standardsKnowledge of semiconductor fabrication, foundry collaboration (PDKs, process corners), yield analysis, and high‑volume manufacturing considerationsStrong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross‑functionally and manage tasks independentlyBenefitsIn addition to a competitive salary, leading‑edge work, and developing solutions side‑by‑side with dedicated experts in their fields, Honeywell employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.
