The General Clerk- Produce role involves merchandising produce items through organization and display while delivering excellent customer service.
- Greet customers promptly and assist with product needs.
- Maintain cleanliness, stock, rotate, and trim produce for freshness.
- Remove damaged items, record damages, and fulfill special orders like fruit baskets.
- Ensure sanitary standards, especially during produce cutting.
- Refill produce bags, assist with cashiering, and support team duties as needed.
- Stand for long periods, lift up to 60 pounds, and operate tools like knives and pallet jacks.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, handle difficult customers, and follow safety procedures.
- Previous public interaction experience and knowledge of produce codes are preferred.
