The Produce Clerk assists in the daily operations of the Produce Department under the guidance of the Produce Manager or Asst. Produce Manager, ensuring top-quality products and excellent customer service.
Requirements include no prior experience—training provided—and basic reading and communication skills.
Responsibilities involve greeting customers, selling and packaging products, processing special orders, preparing and organizing merchandise, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.
Tasks include unloading deliveries, inspecting and stocking products, operating equipment (must be 18+ for certain machinery), managing inventory, pricing, and product rotation using FIFO. The clerk also handles sanitation, signage, temperature checks, and responds to stock shortages or issues, supporting team needs as assigned.
