Our client is currently seeking a Procurement Specialist/Buyer that will work extensively with our Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes.
Job Responsibilities:
* Utilize MRP systems to plan material requirements, manage demand, and ensure timely availability of components.
* Analyze MRP outputs, manage exception messages, and adjust planned orders to address shortages or excess inventory.
* Maintain accurate master data, including lead times, BOMs, inventory levels, and supplier information.
* Collaborate with suppliers to monitor delivery performance, resolve shortages, and optimize lead times and schedules.
Job Requirements:
* Strong knowledge of MRP concepts, including demand planning, lead times, safety stock, reorder points, and BOM structures.
* Hands-on experience working within ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Infor, Epicor).
* Ability to understand tariff regulations
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Preferred Requirements:
* Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Conditional Formatting, filters, and functions, along with strong communication and prioritization abilities.S
