This role will play a critical part in managing inventory strategy, sourcing materials, negotiating vendor agreements, and ensuring products are available to support ongoing customer demand and project timelines. What You'll Be Doing

• Develop and execute purchasing and inventory strategies to support business growth and customer demand
• Source and procure commercial construction materials, products, and supplies
• Build and maintain strong vendor and supplier relationships
• Negotiate pricing, rebates, freight terms, and supplier agreements to maximize margins
• Analyze inventory trends, forecasts, and purchasing data to improve efficiency and profitability
• Manage purchase orders, vendor lead times, and inventory replenishment activities
• Partner closely with sales, operations, warehouse, and accounting teams to ensure smooth execution
• Resolve supplier, quality, delivery, and invoice discrepancies quickly and effectively
• Identify opportunities for new product lines, suppliers, and cost-saving initiatives
• Monitor backorders, direct ship orders, and special-order inventory to ensure timely fulfillment

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree required
• 2+ years of purchasing or buying experience within commercial construction, building materials, industrial distribution, or related industries
• Strong understanding of commercial construction products, supply chain operations, and vendor management
• Proven ability to negotiate pricing and supplier agreements
• Strong analytical, forecasting, and inventory management skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Highly organized with strong communication and relationship-building abilities
• Self-starter mentality with a strong sense of urgency and accountability
