Position Title: Procurement Specialist
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting Contract - Procurement Specialist opportunity.
Job Responsibilities:
- Issue and manage purchase orders to suppliers in a timely and accurate manner
- Follow up with vendors to confirm order status and ensure on-time delivery aligned with need-by dates
- Perform basic sourcing activities for parts and materials as required
- Review and track order confirmations to ensure accuracy in pricing, quantities, and delivery timelines
- Coordinate logistics, including shipment tracking and resolving delivery issues
- Maintain accurate records of orders, supplier communications, and delivery status
- Communicate proactively with internal stakeholders on order status, risks, and delays
- Support continuous improvement of procurement processes and workflows.
Job Qualifications:
- 1–3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain support roles
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple orders and priorities simultaneously
- Effective communication skills for working with suppliers and internal teams
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
- Experience issuing purchase orders and managing vendor follow-ups
- Familiarity with procurement and workflow tools such as Procurify and Jira
- Experience with logistics coordination and shipment tracking
- Exposure to manufacturing or hardware environments
