    Job Summary:
    Seeking an experienced Buyer/Procurement Specialist to develop and execute purchasing strategies, manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure the timely procurement of materials and supplies. This role works closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, engineering, operations, and quality teams to support business objectives while driving cost savings, supplier performance, and procurement process compliance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and execute complex purchasing strategies for domestic and international procurement.
    • Manage purchasing work queues and ensure purchase orders (POs) are issued on time.
    • Coordinate timely delivery of materials and expedite orders when necessary.
    • Serve as the primary liaison between suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve delivery, quality, invoice, and procurement issues.
    • Review and analyze purchase requisitions and supply plans to support procurement activities.
    • Prepare Requests for Quotation (RFQs), manage competitive bidding processes, and evaluate supplier proposals.
    • Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, delivery schedules, and quality requirements with suppliers.
    • Build and manage supplier relationships, including supplier onboarding and performance management.
    • Evaluate market conditions and identify alternative sourcing opportunities.
    • Develop cost-saving initiatives through value analysis, supplier optimization, and make-versus-buy evaluations.
    • Collaborate closely with internal customers, engineering, supplier quality, operations, and planning teams to ensure timely procurement support.
    • Support supplier qualification, selection, evaluation, development, and classification activities.
    • Maintain supplier performance and evaluation systems to ensure procurement transparency and quality.
    • Ensure compliance with Procurement policies, Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) processes, and organizational procurement guidelines.
    • Utilize procurement systems and tools to improve efficiency and maintain process compliance.
    • Support or lead Procurement Business Plan initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, purchasing, or supply chain management.
    • Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
    • Experience managing RFQs, bidding processes, and supplier evaluations.
    • Knowledge of Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) processes and procurement best practices.
    • Ability to analyze purchasing data, market conditions, and sourcing strategies.
    • Experience resolving supplier delivery, quality, and invoice issues.
    • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
    • Proficiency with procurement systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience supporting domestic and international procurement activities.
    • Knowledge of supplier development and performance management.
    • Experience conducting value analysis and cost reduction initiatives.
    • Familiarity with ERP procurement systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
