Job Summary
Join our team as a Procurement Quality Engineer in Denison, TX, where you will help strengthen supplier quality, improve manufacturing supply performance, and solve quality issues that impact facility operations. In this role, you will work cross-functionally with suppliers, procurement partners, and facility stakeholders to drive corrective actions, improve process controls, and support continuous quality improvement across the supply base. This is an excellent opportunity for a manufacturing-focused quality professional who enjoys supplier collaboration, structured problem solving, and making a visible impact on operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the resolution of supplier-related quality issues affecting manufacturing operations and provide conclusions and recommendations for continuous quality improvement efforts.
- Partner with suppliers to improve quality performance, strengthen quality levels, and support supplier quality improvement initiatives.
- Help ensure supplier reliability and quality through process controls, supplier evaluations, inspections, corrective actions, audits, certification programs, and quality records management.
- Identify quality problems and help develop short-term action plans with facility leadership and suppliers.
- Analyze quality data, prioritize issues, and support structured root-cause investigation and resolution activities.
- Communicate findings clearly across procurement, supplier, and manufacturing stakeholders to drive timely improvements and sustain results.
- Balance daily operational priorities with project-based quality improvement work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Required Skills
- Supplier Quality / Quality Management: Knowledge of quality management methods, tools (CGMSAP), and techniques used to support organizational quality goals.
- Problem Solving: Ability to identify issues, assess resolution options, analyze risks and benefits, and use fact-finding and diagnostic tools (8D, CAR) to resolve quality concerns.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with suppliers, procurement teams, manufacturing partners, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present findings and write reports clearly for business audiences.
- Attention to Detail: High standards for accuracy and precision when reviewing quality data, inspections, and supplier documentation.
- Procurement / Purchasing Knowledge: Understanding of procurement processes, purchasing activities, and the role suppliers play in manufacturing performance.
- Education: Degree or equivalent experience desired.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in supplier quality, manufacturing quality, purchasing quality, or supply base performance improvement.
- Experience working in a manufacturing facility, plant, assembly environment, or industrial setting.
- Experience supporting audits, corrective actions, supplier evaluations, inspection processes, or process control activities.
- Experience interpreting quality trends and helping drive continuous improvement projects.
- Comfort managing multiple priorities across supplier issues, site needs, and improvement initiatives.
Summary Pay Range:
$89,210.00 - $133,810.00
