Procurement manager (steel/mill/coal background)

Procurement Manager (Newnan, GA)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM (First Shift); occasional Saturdays as needed

Salary: $75,000-$120,000/year (based on experience)

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to oversee strategic sourcing and purchasing forour metal manufacturing operation. The ideal candidate will have proven experience procuring raw materials for the steel industry and a strong background in supplier negotiations and cost management.

Required Qualifications

• Required: Procurement experience in the steel industry, including mill purchasing and coal purchasing.
• Experience negotiating contracts, pricing, and supplier agreements.
• Knowledge of steel markets, raw material sourcing, and inventory management.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel).
• strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Source and purchase steel, coal, and other raw materials.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery schedules with mills and suppliers.
• Monitor market trends and manage supplier relationships.
• Coordinate purchasing activities with production to ensure material availability.
• Track supplier performance and maintain accurate purchasing records.
