Dewberry is currently seeking a Procurement Manager  to join our Pricing & Procurement team in Fairfax, Virginia.

Responsibilities:

The Procurement Manager will lead the indirect purchasing team of professionals and directly support the Director of Procurement in driving the strategy, process and evolution of the end-to-end Deltek Vantagepoint procurement processes, ensuring cost-effective, timely, and risk-managed acquisition of goods and services as Dewberry continues to scale and grow. Other responsibilities will include:

  • Serve as the Procurement Departments champion by partnering with operations to promote Dewberry Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Procurement objectives and work with corporate leadership to resolve issues/non-compliance.
  • Promote a strong working relationship with internal stakeholders across operations.
  • Support development of budget through forecasting and analysis of historical spending.
  • Develop methodologies to control cost and maintain spending within established budget.
  • Produce and analyze KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators), dashboards, and other analytics to measure and improve performance.
  • Create and/or update existing training materials and procedure manuals.
  • Direct departmental training and mentoring processes to maximize team members effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Assists with all external and internal audits to ensure complete, timely, and accurate responses to information requests.
  • Provide support for special projects, business initiatives, system upgrades etc. as needed.
  • Understand all functional aspects of Dewberry’s ERP as a subject matter expert.
  • Work with the ERP Team to provide administration in the areas of implementation, application support, process governance and improvements.
  • Assist in the design, testing, training and roll out of updated ERP modules as required.
  • Manage the end-to-end RFP lifecycle, from initial draft and internal reviews to final distribution and pre-bid meetings. Ensure RFP documents comply with policy and legal standards.
  • Provide high quality support to all end users helping them understand the procurement process and how to use basic and advanced features of the Dewberry ERP.
  • Train new users on the basics of using Dewberry’s ERP, allowing them to create and approve requisitions and purchase orders.
  • Other duties/special projects as assigned.
Required Skills & Required Experience:

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in procure to pay for technology, processes and best practices.
  • 10+ years’ experience in procurement, subcontract administration, vendor management and accounts payable processes.
  • Advanced analytics capabilities (Microsoft Office skills, BI tools, etc.).
  • Experience with all contract types and uses to reduce risk.
  • Experience developing strategies for sourcing all types of suppliers.
  • Experience with supplier prequalification processes and performance tracking to improve quality and reduce risk.
  • Experience assessing total cost of ownership to support supplier selection.
  • Strong ERP procurement module experience, proficiency using Deltek Vantagepoint is a major plus.
  • Proficiency using PowerBI is a major plus.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to develop data-driven spend analytics and perform analysis to identify over/under spend and recommend changes.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from senior executives, stakeholders, and cross-functional business leaders.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and determine and implement effective action plans.
  • Ability to identify supply chain vulnerabilities and develop plans/alternatives to reduce risk.
  • Desire and ability to work closely and collaboratively with other members of procurement, contracts, accounts payable, and operations.
  • Excellent analytical, written, oral, organizational, and presentation skills to provide input and recommendations to company leadership and decisions at all levels.
