We are now looking for a Procurement Data Analyst Manager to join our Procurement & PMO team and help transform data into strategic insights that drive better decision-making across the business.

The Role
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Procurement Data Analyst Manager will provide critical analytical support to Commercial Managers and the wider organisation. You will lead on procurement data strategy, reporting, and insights while driving efficiencies and supporting compliance with the Procurement Act 2023.
You'll play a key role in shaping how procurement data is used across the Port, supporting strategic decisions, managing supplier performance, and enhancing systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
* Line manage and develop an Apprentice Data Analyst, supporting their progression and performance
* Lead on procurement data strategy aligned to corporate objectives
* Act as a role model for data best practice, quality, and ethical standards
* Own and manage the Procurement Risk Register, providing quarterly reporting
Data & Analytics
* Analyse procurement spend, supplier performance, and market trends
* Develop dashboards, KPIs, and reports (e.g. Power BI, Excel)
* Identify cost-saving opportunities through data insight and benchmarking
* Deliver complex data analysis to inform sourcing strategies and procurement decisions
* Support budget tracking and reporting within Oracle
Business Collaboration
* Partner with Finance on expenditure reporting, forecasting, and reconciliation
* Work closely with IT, QS, Category Managers, and wider teams to improve systems and processes
* Represent Procurement in cross-functional forums and present data insights to stakeholders
* Support sourcing activities (RFPs/RFQs) with modelling and analysis
Systems & Process Improvement
* Maintain and improve procurement data across platforms (Oracle, Intend, Bluebeam, BCIS, Fastdraft, etc.)
* Automate reporting and streamline manual processes
* Support ERP system enhancements and rollouts
* Ensure high-quality data governance, integrity, and security

About You
Essential (Knowledge & Experience)
* Degree or equivalent qualification
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a Data Analyst role
* Strong Excel and Power BI skills
* Proven ability to analyse and present complex data clearly
* Experience mentoring or supporting junior analysts or apprentices
* Demonstrable experience of managing or mentoring junior analysts, apprentices, or data team members.
Desirable
* Experience within procurement or a multi-disciplinary environment
* Knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle desirable)
* Understanding of the Procurement Act 2023
* Experience working with Finance, budgets and spend reporting
* Ability to translate data into actionable insights for senior stakeholders

Hours of work: 37.5 per week
Salary: £50K
