Job Description


We are seeking a professional to manage procurement activities related to CAPEX Construction and Equipment. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient and cost-effective procurement processes from pre-bid to project closeout, while managing risk and maintaining vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will have experience in leading negotiations, understanding value streams, and aligning with company strategy.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and best practices in procurement.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, highlighting risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct high-value negotiations for large industrial projects.
  • Lead complex contract negotiations, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support procurement initiatives.
  • Coordinate the development of technical specifications for RFPs.
  • Synchronize the purchasing of materials and equipment with construction schedules.
  • Establish continuous improvement processes for contracts.
  • Perform contractor evaluations for bid lists.
  • Serve as point of contact between engineering, technical leads, and bidders.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures throughout the procurement process.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years in capital and/or construction procurement.
  • Proven history of successful complex negotiations.
  • Deep understanding of industry practices and market dynamics.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience with various contract types.
  • Strong data analysis skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Some travel is required.
