Target hiring range for this position will be between $63,079-$90,000 per year. Offered salary will be determined by the applicants education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Job Summary:
Procurement and Payment Services (PPS) is the single point of contact for all centralized procurement and payment activities. Reporting to the Director of Purchasing and Strategic Sourcing, the Procurement Administrator is responsible for sourcing and administering contracts on behalf of the University. All functions are performed with a high degree of independence and must be performed with integrity and in a timely manner. This role maintains a close working relationship with Accounts Payable, Northwestern IT, the Office of General Counsel, other departments and schools, as well as the vendor community.
Specific Responsibilities:
Strategically source on behalf of the University (perform Invitations to Bid for University wide contracts and assisting schools/departments with their Invitations to Bid). This includes managing the entire bid process:
Contract Administration.
Enforce, Develop, and Advise on Purchasing Policy and Procedures
Other duties:
Miscellaneous
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in business or related field required.
Two to four years of purchasing experience preferably in higher education, or equivalent experience in a related service industry.
