Description
Process Operator is chiefly responsible for making a sensing element used in various detection systems FLIR produces. Operates equipment used to manufacture products. Weighs, measures and checks raw materials to ensure that batches manufactured contain proper ingredients in proper quantities. Maintains inventory records of raw materials used in batch manufacturing. Keeps accurate and up-to-date batch records and data sheets on batches in process. Performs in-process tests (such as hardness, weight, variation, pH and moisture content) to ensure that batches meet specifications. Recognizes equipment and product problems, notifies supervisor and/or troubleshoots errors in order to achieve optimum production levels. Candidates for this position must be able to follow written Standard Operating Procedures and verbal instructions in order to fabricate, inspect, and package chemical-based products. Good organizational skills and relevant computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office) are required for maintaining production records. The ability to safely handle lab equipment/tools and chemicals is required. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associate"s degree or High School diploma/GED with 3 or more years of experience in an assembly or production environment. Self-motivated, dependable, and have excellent communication skills. Good manual dexterity, meticulous attention to detail, and an interest/ability to quickly learn new work operations Prior Assembly or Lean manufacturing experience is a plus Prior lab equipment experience or background in chemistry/biology is a plus Ability to lift 50 pounds from ground to table height

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $31.00/hr.
