Position Overview
We are seeking Process Technicians to support advanced semiconductor analysis and failure analysis operations in a cleanroom environment. This role focuses on preparing, imaging, and analyzing nanostructures using high-powered microscopy tools such as SEM, FIB, and TEM.
This is a hands-on, precision-driven role ideal for candidates with semiconductor, microchip, or related technical lab experience.
Key Responsibilities
SEM Process Technician
Prepare, cleave, and analyze semiconductor samples
Perform imaging using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM)
Conduct compositional analysis using EDX
Communicate findings and imaging results to engineering teams
Support continuous improvement of SEM processes and workflows
Train users and maintain documentation for equipment and procedures
FIB / TEM Process Technician
Prepare lamella samples using Focused Ion Beam (FIB) tools
Perform imaging using SEM, TEM, and STEM technologies
Conduct compositional analysis using EDX and EELS
Handle and transfer delicate samples using precision tools (tweezers, grids, etc.)
Partner with engineering teams to interpret and optimize analysis
Support process improvements and lab efficiency initiatives
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Physical Science or equivalent hands-on experience
Experience with SEM, FIB, TEM, or STEM tools required
Semiconductor or microchip manufacturing experience strongly preferred
Experience with Hitachi or Thermo Fisher equipment is a plus
CAD layout, metrology, or failure analysis experience is highly desirable
Strong manual dexterity (handling samples <5mm with tweezers)
Experience takes priority over education

Semiconductor / failure analysis technician
SEM or FIB/TEM process technician
Metrology or microscopy specialist
Candidates from biotech or medical imaging fields with transferable experience will also be considered
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Cleanroom and laboratory environment
Handling extremely small samples under microscopes
Use of PPE including safety glasses, cleanroom garments, and safety shoes
Exposure to chemicals, high voltage systems, and mechanical equipment
Ability to stand/walk for extended periods (10,000+ steps per shift)
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
Work in confined or technical lab spaces
