We are currently seeking a hands-on Injection Molding Process Technician to join our Tempe team on a temporary assignment. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting production by ensuring injection molding processes are running efficiently and producing high-quality plastic components that meet strict quality standards.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys technical troubleshooting, optimizing processes, and working directly with manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced environment.
Shift Availability
This temporary role supports multiple production shifts:
1st Shift: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
2nd Shift: Monday – Friday | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Split Shift: Monday – Friday | 7:00 PM – 3:30 AM
Key Responsibilities
Injection Molding Setup and Process Optimization
Set up and prepare injection molding machines for production runs, adjusting parameters such as temperature, pressure, material flow, and cycle times.
Optimize machine settings to maximize efficiency, reduce scrap, and maintain stable production output.
Support job startups and verify that processes are operating within validated parameters before full production begins.
Troubleshooting and Equipment Support
Troubleshoot molding machines, tooling, materials, and process issues
Address production interruptions to reduce downtime
Perform routine equipment checks and minor maintenance
Coordinate with maintenance for larger repairs
Quality Monitoring
Monitor production to ensure parts meet quality standards
Inspect and measure molded components using quality tools
Identify defects and support corrective actions
Process Improvement
Review production data to identify efficiency improvements
Adjust processes to reduce cycle times and scrap
Support continuous improvement efforts within production
What We're Looking For
Experience with injection molding equipment and plastic processing
Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills
Ability to optimize machine settings and processes
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
