Summary:
Location: South Windsor, CT
Duration: 12 Months
Responsibilities:
- Follow all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety and product quality.
- Check on equipment throughout the shift to ensure it is working properly.
- Read and clearly follow required processes.
- Contribute to division results and performance.
- Address internal and external customer needs and expectations.
- Operate equipment specific to the area, such as:
- CARBON: Bag products, sample and test; manage spent carbon feed to reactivation furnace; switch tank feed; calibrate PH probes; operate a filter press; run facility wastewater treatment plant.
- REGEN: Sort bottles by size and resin; load and unload deliveries; operate forklift; evacuate bottles.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Completion of site-specific safety training.
- Ability to communicate clearly with team members.
- Basic math skills.
- Site-specific requirements for CARBON: Completion of 40-hour hazardous waste operations training.
Preferred Skills:
- Some manufacturing/plant experience.
- Forklift driving experience.
- Knowledge of computers.
Physical Requirements:
- Constant ability to sit, stand, hear, and see.
- Frequent ability to walk, write, and type.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to climb and descend stairs.
- Occasional ability to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- May work indoors and outdoors, with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
- Exposure to dust and dirt; work surfaces may include concrete.
- Ability to operate a computer and communicate via telephone.
