Job Title: Process Engineering SpecialistJob Description

We are seeking an experienced Process Engineering Specialist to lead and execute process improvement initiatives in areas of priority. The successful candidate will utilize Lean tools to accomplish tangible improvements using the 4 Ms: man, method, material, and machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead process and reliability improvements to boost Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and reduce downtime and waste.
  • Drive Lean/Six Sigma initiatives and structured problem-solving.
  • Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to enhance equipment performance.
  • Implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Build capability by coaching teams and strengthening Continuous Improvement (CI) practices.
  • Support capital projects and process ramp-ups to ensure operational readiness.
  • Utilize Lean tools to achieve tangible improvements in safety, quality, production metrics, and cost.
  • Adapt best manufacturing practices from European sister plants.
  • Facilitate technical communication between departments.
  • Develop procedures for the production process and the setup and control of process data.
  • Organize training procedures and documentation for the department in collaboration with production management.
  • Provide practical support and process troubleshooting, working closely with production personnel.
  • Optimize processes to achieve cost savings.
  • Notify maintenance of any mechanical issues with equipment and follow up with the maintenance coordinator.
  • Report any improvements, unsafe situations, incidents, or accidents immediately.
  • Ensure compliance with all Quality Management, Environmental Management, Food Safety, and cGMP standards.

Essential Skills

  • Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Considerable experience in manufacturing, process engineering, maintenance, or continuous improvement.
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable operational improvements.
  • Solid knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, and reliability methods.
  • Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Expertise in Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement.
  • Experience in operational excellence and manufacturing engineering.

Work Environment

This role requires standing, walking, reaching, handling materials, and occasionally climbing, kneeling, or crouching. You must be able to lift frequently up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds, and work in a manufacturing production environment.

This is a Permanent position based out of Blythewood, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00/yr.

PTO, Holiday, health insurance.

This is a fully onsite position in Blythewood,SC.
