Job Details

Our client is seeking a hands-on Process Engineer to drive manufacturing efficiency, improve equipment reliability, and optimize production processes throughout their high-volume manufacturing facility. This role partners closely with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Plant Leadership to troubleshoot production challenges, implement process improvements, and support capital projects that increase productivity while reducing downtime and operating costs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 3+ years of manufacturing process engineering experience in a production environment.
  • Experience within consumer packaged goods (CPG), chemical manufacturing, food and beverage manufacturing, personal care products, pharmaceuticals, or other process manufacturing industries.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, and Root Cause Analysis methodologies.
  • Experience troubleshooting manufacturing equipment and industrial processes.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
  • Proficiency with process documentation, SOP development, and manufacturing data analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and process issues to minimize downtime and improve plant performance.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Improve the reliability and performance of production equipment, including pumps, reaction vessels, boilers, spray drying systems, and wastewater treatment equipment.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process documentation.
  • Support capital improvement projects, including equipment selection, installation, commissioning, and process validation.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams.
  • Train production personnel on new equipment, process improvements, and standardized operating procedures.
  • Utilize production data to monitor performance and drive data-based process improvements.
