    PURPOSE:The Process Engineer will provide technical expertise in all aspects of process design and processing techniques issued by the refinery to ensure the following:

    KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Conducts daily unit health monitoring consistent with Calumet ExpectationsPerforms engineering calculations (i.e., mass balances, energy balances, conversion calculations) to optimize equipment design and assure product qualityGathers, analyzes, and interprets unit test data to assist in troubleshooting operating problems and developing revised process designsGenerates and maintains informational database(s) on pertinent process variables for troubleshooting and optimizationMakes recommendations to improve unit yield and/or optimize energy consumptionInitiates and justifies new projects, additional monitoring and improvements to the unitCollaborates with appropriate subject matter experts, and manager concerning unusual problems and developmentsDevelops and evaluates plans and criteria for a variety of projects within his/her responsibility areaAssesses the feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering evaluation tests, products, or equipmentMaintains awareness of all Safety, Health, and Environmental issues that impact the refinery and personnelEvaluates the economic feasibility of projects assigned and provides Process engineering services during engineering, construction, and start-up of projectsProvides Process Engineering support during turnaroundsProcess Engineers support a 24 hour/day, 7 day/week operation. As such, they must be prepared to work whatever hours needed to maintain a safe, environmentally sound efficient operation.Provide additional daily supervisory coverage as needed

    REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES:

    Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical or Mechanical EngineeringProficient user of MS Office Suite
