Position Summary (purpose of the position): Why does the job exist and what is it designed to accomplish?
The purpose of this position is to provide process engineering support in the manufacture of high-quality silicon wafers. This position involves two major components, sustaining of existing processes, and development and introduction of new processes. The sustaining component provides support through continuous improvement activities such as yield and capability improvements, process transfers, and root cause analysis and corrective actions for customer related and internal quality issues. The development component provides support through implementation of the Technology Strategy, ensuring capable processes are developed in a sufficient time frame to support future customer needs.
