Description

Our client, a leader in industrial manufacturing and automation, is seeking a Process Engineer Boilers Steam PLCs to join their team. As a Process Engineer, you will be part of the Process Engineering Department supporting process optimization and automation projects for automotive and other industrial clients. This is a contract to direct hire opportunity.

Job Title: Process Engineer Boilers Steam PLCs

Location:Sterling Heights, Michigan or Ft Lauderdale, FL

Pay Range: $45-$48/hr DOE plus OT, benefits

What's the Job?

  • Translate boiler operations and thermodynamics into automated control strategies.
  • Develop control narratives, functional specifications, and sequence-of-operation documents.
  • Create and maintain PFDs, P&IDs, and instrumentation documentation.
  • Optimize combustion efficiency, steam generation, and system performance.
  • Specify instrumentation and develop I/O lists.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • 3+ years of process engineering experience with industrial boilers, steam plants, or utility systems.
  • Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and steam systems.
  • Ability to develop and interpret P&IDs and PFDs.
  • Experience with PLC (Rockwell, GE, Siemens, Schneider, etc.), HMI, or SCADA systems is required.
