The Process Control Engineer will be responsible for supporting and developing new and existing applications and programs in our Finishing Division. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and thrive in a complex environment.Summary of ResponsibilitiesSupport existing Automation Systems on operational units.Design and implement Automation System upgrades on new and existing units.Interact with multiple departments to implement process changes and commission new units.Analyze problems to find root causes involving user contact occasionally to diagnose the problem.Be willing to respond to troubleshoot calls on a 247 basis.Perform other duties as needed.Minimum QualificationsBachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering Computer Science or equivalent experience.Experience with DC drives Powerflex ABB Sinamics or Reliance and large DC motorsExperience in PLC programming ControlLogix TIA Portal or Automax.Experience with SCADA systems FactoryTalk Ignition WinCCExperience with Trending systems ibaPreferred Qualifications3-5 years of industrial automation experience.Administration of Windows PCs.Knowledge of control theory PID and PI controlProject Management Experience.Knowledge of Continuous Processing lines.Knowledge of Rolling Theory.Strong background in mathematicsCleveland-Cliffs Inc. is the largest flat-rolled steel company and the largest iron ore pellet producer in North America.
