The Process Automation Specialist is responsible for identifying, designing, and implementing technology-enabled solutions to optimize business processes. You will work closely with stakeholders to map existing "as-is" workflows, identify bottlenecks, and develop automated solutions in Alteryx, VBA, Power Query, and SQL platforms. This position works closely with our Excel VBA Developer to ensure all processes are thoroughly documented and aligned with departmental goals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Process Analysis: Conduct discovery sessions with business stakeholders to gather requirements, obtain manual procedure documentation, and evaluate processes for automation feasibility.

  • Solution Design and Documentation: Provide proposal for automation and create thorough process documentation.

  • Development & Implementation: Build, test, and deploy automation scripts and workflows using approved tools.

  • Maintenance & Optimization: Maintain created and existing workflows for errors, perform troubleshooting, and update logic as business processes change. Manage version control of automation processes, ensuring that all updates are documented and traceable.

  • Ongoing Support: Debug errors and assist business stakeholders to troubleshoot when issues arise in automations.

  • Data Oversight: Ensure all automations adhere to company security, data privacy, and compliance standards.

  • Other duties assigned by Supervisor

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field

  • Experience creating variables, using control constructs (If-Thens, Loops) and dictionaries, and creating classes

  • 5+ years of experience in analytics

  • Experience with the following platforms, Alteryx, Power Query. SQL

  • Basic Understanding of XML or HTML

  • Background in ERP systems like Workday

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Advanced excel skills including pivot tables, lookups and large data sets
