Nurses with an active OCN will receive an additional $2.25/hr!.

Job Description Summary:
Provides safe, accurate and efficient patient care, including but not limited to:
• Patient assessment • Review of labs and vital signs • Medication safety • Dose verification • Drug administration
Follows all Job Breakdown Instructions (JBIs) associated with role.
Provides triage care when necessary.
Communicates patient condition effectively to multidisciplinary team members.
Key Performance Areas:
• Safely and accurately administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biotherapy, supportive care, and non-oncologic agents to patients as ordered by providers. • Will use Oncology Nurse's Society (ONS) standards and guidelines. • Accurate and safe disposal of biohazardous waste, per OSHA and NIOSH guidelines. • Responsible for new and ongoing patient education, continual patient assessment, and support. • Documentation: Thorough, accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) of treatment rendered to patients. • Ensure appropriate charges are captured by following guidelines for appropriate administration of all medications and activities. • Will follow proper patient identification per JBI for all patient encounters.
Teaching:
• Educate patients and caregivers about medications, side effects and planned treatment course. • Interact with patient and family in a caring, professional manner. • Telephone triage: Includes prioritizing incoming calls and messages from patients, family members, hospitals, nursing facilities, pharmacies, and physician offices from emergent to non-urgent. • Must respond accordingly in an appropriate time frame.
Supplies:
• Includes assisting with inventory and re-stocking medical supplies, recommend purchase of new items as needed. • Place stock in storage areas in a timely manner. • Complete annual required safety and nursing trainings. • Attend all mandatory staff meetings as necessary. • Always maintain and ensure the confidentiality of all patient and employee information. • Assist in training new employees related to job duties according to JBIs. • Will be expected to work at any Company location to help meet the Company's business needs on an as-needed basis, within reasonable expectations. • Will also be expected to work overtime when given sufficient notice. • Performs other duties and projects as assigned. • Complies with all federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to patient privacy, patient's rights, personnel law, safety, labor, and employment law. • Adheres to Company and departmental policies and procedures, including IT policies and procedures and Disaster Plan.
Job Qualifications and Requirements:
Education:
• Nursing Degree
Certifications/Licenses:
• Unencumbered RN License in state of employment or multi-state license • Current CPR and BLS certifications • Valid Driver's License and vehicle for travel to other clinic locations as needed
Previous Experience (including minimum years of experience):
• Experience with hematology/oncology patients in a clinic or hospital setting • Ability to assess patient needs and condition is essential • Must have strong critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations • Fluency in the English language with excellent oral and written communication skills is required

Occasional overtime may be required, and weekend shifts based on location hours and operational needs.
