POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
Bachelor degree required; MBA preferred 6+ years of private market product development experience in asset management environment with proven track record of delivery required; experience in the wealth management market preferred Previous experience managing scoping and launch of private markets pooled investment products required; semi-liquid and/or wealth focused evergreen fund structures preferred Experience in either private equity or real estate asset classes required; Experience in all of Federated Hermes' key asset classes preferred including private credit, real estate, private equity and infrastructure preferred Familiarity with key US private market fund regulations required, including 40 Act preferred Solid investment knowledge across a broad range of investment strategies and the regulatory landscape for private markets in US required Strong project management skills required
MAJOR DUTIES:
Build and manage strong relationships at all levels with key stakeholders across the business, such as the Investment Management, Sales, Compliance and Risk, Legal, Tax and Operating teams, to promote the effective setting and delivery of product strategy and development. Promote client-centric activity aligned with Federated Hermes' responsible investment focus and the expectations of regulators. Set, direct and project-manage the implementation of complex product development, change and ongoing product management activities. Advise the business on the considerations for new product strategy and development across a range of areas, including regulatory and legal requirements, potential operational efficiencies and issues, speed to market etc. for the US market. Adhere to the governance mechanisms used to manage, approve, prioritize and deliver product development initiatives. Maintain an effective balance between efficient delivery and the ability to respond to market opportunities. Understand the competitor landscape and use market intelligence to inform product design. Respond to regulatory changes, participate or lead working groups, and identify opportunities and threats as a result of the change to Federated Hermes' product offering. Understand customer needs in relation to product strategy, development and management at Federated Hermes; coordinate third party research into customer insights where necessary and/or liaise with sales to obtain direct client feedback. Coordinate relevant Federated Hermes' product strategy and development initiatives across all private markets asset classes (private credit, real estate, private equity and infrastructure) and all functions including manufacturing, distribution and operational infrastructure via strong project and stakeholder management. Act as one of the main points of contact for issues and queries relating to Federated Hermes' US private markets products and the product development process. Work with all areas of the business to help resolve product related issues. Maintain the Federated Hermes product development pipeline and deliver, on time and on budget, approved product-related initiatives. Work closely with the US-based Product Management & Product Development teams and with the UK based Product Strategy & Development team to support product development activity.
