The Team

S&P Global Ratings' Structured Finance and Private Markets analytical team sits at the center of one of the fastest-growing segments of global capital markets. Reporting to the Chief Analytical Officer for Structured Finance and Private Markets, the team partners with analytical practices, research functions, and enterprise divisions to deliver authoritative ratings, insights, and market perspectives. This is a high-impact environment where analytical rigor, strategic vision, and cross-divisional collaboration converge.

Responsibilities and Impact

  • Define and execute S&P Global Ratings' private markets analytical strategy, setting priorities and directing resource deployment in alignment with enterprise objectives.

  • Assess complex and novel private market transactions, developing analytical frameworks to evaluate corporate and infrastructure risks across private credit and adjacent asset classes.

  • Serve as a senior external spokesperson with regulators, central banks, industry associations, and media, translating complex credit content into clear and influential market insights.

  • Lead high-impact thought leadership initiatives, identifying emerging trends and structural developments in private credit to reinforce S&P Global Ratings' position as a trusted market voice.

  • Build and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships across analytical teams, Global Analytical Risk Management, Market Intelligence, and S&P Dow Jones Indices to ensure aligned market perspectives and methodological consistency.

  • Coach and develop analytical team members, strengthening capability and upholding high standards for analytical quality and data consistency.

Compensation and Benefits Information

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $210,000 to $291,000 USD. Final base salary will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications. What We're Looking For

Qualifications

  • An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 15+ years of relevant experience in private markets, private credit, credit ratings, structured finance, corporate credit, or infrastructure finance.

  • Deep understanding of private markets dynamics across regions and asset classes, with demonstrated experience in thought leadership, research, or market insight development.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop authoritative market perspectives and a proven track record of influencing senior stakeholders across large, matrixed organizations.

  • Proven ability to translate complex analytical topics into compelling narratives for diverse audiences, including clients, regulators, and media.

  • Proven experience leading and developing high-performing analytical teams, with a focus on analytical quality, methodological discipline, and data consistency.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience engaging with regulators, central banks, or industry associations as a senior representative.

  • Familiarity with cross-practice credit methodologies spanning corporate, structured finance, and infrastructure asset classes.

  • Track record of producing timely, market-relevant research in response to evolving private credit trends and structural developments.

  • Experience managing multiple high-priority projects and navigating complex demands across a global, matrixed organization.

  • Demonstrated ability to assess and navigate complex or sensitive situations, fostering trust and credibility with internal and external stakeholders.

Additional Information

  • We require all candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in-person interview, which is ordinarily at your nearest S&P Global Ratings office. This must be completed before we can proceed to an offer.

  • Employees are required to work from the office a minimum of two days per week.
