Print/Copy Operator
Location: Savannah, GA
Pay Rate: $17.00 - $18.00/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Type: Temp-to-Hire
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Print/Copy Operator to support the printing and finishing operations for the City of Savannah. This role is responsible for producing a variety of printed materials, including one-page documents, booklets, business cards, and posters. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a print production or copy center environment and be comfortable operating print and finishing equipment.
Responsibilities- Produce a wide range of printed materials, including documents, booklets, business cards, and posters
- Operate production printing and copying equipment
- Perform finishing services such as cutting, binding, coil binding, and laminating
- Ensure print jobs are completed accurately and on schedule
- Maintain quality standards for all printed materials
- Provide excellent customer service and support
- Utilize PC-based systems to manage print requests and workflow
- Organize and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications- High school diploma or GED required
- 1-2 years of experience in print production, copy services, or a related field
- Previous copy center or print shop experience required
- Knowledge of printing and copying processes
- Experience operating production printers and related equipment preferred
- Familiarity with finishing equipment and processes, including cutting, GBC binding, coil binding, and laminating
- Strong customer service skills
- Good computer proficiency
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Basic mathematical and filing skills
- Ability to operate office machines and technical equipment
